I am attempting to install a Skype for Business Server 2019 to perform a side-by-side migration from SFB 2015.
When I run the Deployment Wizard - Deploy - Active Directory preparation, the install fails on Step 3 - prepare current forest.
I receive the following errors in the log
TaskFailed: Task execution failed. 11/17/2021 11:21:11 AM Error
Error: The type of group "RTCUniversalGlobalWriteGroup" is different from required group type.

Any idea why this may be happening?
When you launch the Deployment Wizard, it recommends to run as administrator. If you are not the case, please quit the wizard and run again.
Accroding the error message, it is hard to determine if RTCUniversalGlobalWriteGroup is the cause.
During forest preparation, it will automatically add service and administration groups to the appropriate infrastructure groups, including RTCUniversalGlobalWriteGroup.

The RTC and CS groups are listed as Global group. I changed them to Universal groups and the install completed as expected.
