Hello,

I can't resolve some web pages on our domain controller. I noticed at some point someone enabled IPV6 and that made all the root hints come up with some issues. I set it for only IPV4 and tested all the root hints and they come out OK now. I've cleared the cache and it still won't resolve some web pages. I've tested on other systems and they do work if not using the AD DNS server which our DHCP uses so people can log in to the domain.

when I test one of the domains through nslookup,
Nslookup
C:\Windows\System32>nslookup
Default Server: UnKnown
Address: 10.0.37.10

secure.na3.documents.adobe.com

Server: UnKnown
Address: 10.0.37.10

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.

There were no forwarders (never added them on any other server). For the heck of it I hadded 8.8.8.8 as a forwarder and the check box is no longer greyed out but checked for use root hints.

I can now resolve the web page.

Is this set up acceptable on a domain name / active directory server?
