Hello.

I am in process of Migrating our Domain Controller from 2012 r2 to 2019 and AD functional level from 2012 R2 TO 2016. Is it possible to change our local domain .local to an actual domain name called *****.ca or .com so that we will be able to Sync Our AD Services to MS Azure AD in the cloud which we will eventually getting oour Microsoft M3 Licensing Please advise me the steps to follow during this upgrade. Any thoughts.

Thanks

Ramach

You can follow along here to rename the domain, but note the compatibility if you happen to have exchange servers.
