Problems with MS Teams Webinar - confirmation email

Hi there,

the confirmation emails for webinar registrations in Teams only contain the add to calendar file as attachment, however, the confirmation email itself doesn't tell people to click the attachment in order to add to calendar. This way, the event and join link could easily get lost.

  1. Is there a way to customise the confirmation email/add an instruction into it that lets people know that's what they have to do?
  2. Alternatively, is there a generic "join" link that can be sent to participants in a separate email? (since the join links in the confirmations are unique?)

Thanks
Carolin

    Hi @Carolin Fischer

Is there a way to customise the confirmation email/add an instruction into it that lets people know that's what they have to do?

What is your confirmation email meaning? Do you mean the organizer's inviting email like the following picture?

The join link you can find it from the confirmation email. In this way, you could write the guidance in your inviting email to remind the attendees who join the webinar meeting.

    Hi @JimmyYang-MSFT ,

Following up on Carolin's post. Do you know if there's any plan to add that functionality at some point (possibility to customise the confirmation email). I understand that the email is unique to each participant, but it would be great to have an option either in the confirmation email itself, where it says "Your seat is reserved" to have a Outlook and Google calendar icon where people can quickly add the event to their calendar.

Or alternatively, if as the webinar creator, if we can customise the confirmation email, we could add a text in the confirmation email itself saying, make sure to click on the attached file and add the event to your calendar.

    Does that make sense?

    Many thanks.

    Thierry
