Unable to create domain

Hi,

I'm playing with powershell, and due to that I've needed some test environment.

I've installed Oracle virtual box on my laptop, and deployed two VM's (win 2019 x64 datacenter evaluation version).

One of VM's have had Active Directory roles installed and domain was created.

I was forced to delete this VM, and it was done without removing the domain.

Now I'm not able to create new domain on any VM.

Still have the same warning

Can someone help me with that?

Might also try from the GUI Add / Remove Roles in Server Manager. Also check the log files for clues.

As I mentioned, VM which was a domain controller was deleted.

On new machine all tests showed, that this is not a domain conroller and this is true.

In logs only error, that DFS replication service failed to contact domain controller.

It all looks for me, like new VM's still can somehow see that domain which was created on deleted VM and trying to connect to this domain controller - I have no idea how it's possible?

Well nothing for us to go on. I'd check the logs or just try standing up a new one, patch fully for a test.

    No progress.

As I wrote - I've deleted VM which was one and only domain controller.

After that I've deployed new VM, where, when I'm trying to create domain I got message as in first post.

Not clear what you have going but you may need to seize roles (if necessary) to other healthy one

and perform cleanup to remove remnants.
