My VM monitoring graphs aren't showing any data

Question

I've created some VM's and have been asked to also setup monitoring for them. I've noticed that the monitoring in a VM's Overview blade isn't showing any activity. And I know there has been as I've set them up and installed apps on each within the past 30 days.

I've also added some of these graphs to a dashboard but same lack of data. Is there something not turned on or that I need to do?

Regarding your question , Looks like either the monitoring extension on the VM is not operational or corrupted. You may either have to start it or reinstall it .

Hi Pradeep,

Thank you for your update.

Looking into things Azure Monitoring is not setup on anything yet (I stepped into the project after it had already started).

My next step is getting permissions to enable Azure Monitoring on these VM's.
