Cannot start Microsoft Learn exercise

I recently added an @harsh.com .com email as a secondary email to my Microsoft account. A few days after that, I tried signing into Microsoft Learn to continue studying for an exam challenge I signed up for through my company. Now I get an error '<my_primary_email>@Stuff .com is already a Microsoft account. Please try a different email address' upon attempting to review permissions for the sandbox in order to perform an exercise from a Microsoft Learn module. When I click Next, I get another error: 'Someone already has this email address. Try another name or claim one of these that's available' and it suggests that I use another @harsh.com .com address. Up until this point, I never used an @harsh.com .com email to sign into Microsoft Learn.
I tried removing <my_secondary_email>@harsh.com .com as my secondary email from account.microsoft.com. I opened Microsoft Learn in an incognito window. I also tried to open it from another device. I always get the same error. I have 2FA enabled and when I get a prompt to verify my account during sign-in, the prompt is for the correct account - I use <my_primary_email>@Stuff .com to sign into Microsoft services.
I suspect that the Microsoft Learn sandbox invited my @harsh.com .com account to the Microsoft Learn Azure AD tenant.
