WVD for external users

There have been several articles about Azure virtual desktop implementation but I've seen that we can allow WVD for external users via per user licensing. I'm trying to achieve the following:

  1. Persistent VDI for external users
  2. Non-domain joined VM

Is this achievable? Any help is appreciated.

    @AlphaGreg

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.

    1. Use a personal pool. Ref: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/configure-host-pool-personal-desktop-assignment-type
    2. VM's need to be joined to either AD or AAD - they can not be in a workgroup. External users does not refer to AAD B2B. It’s the business relationship to the organization hosting AVD. The user objects still need to exist in AD > AAD off the hosting orgs directories.

    Hope that helps.
