Hard drive stuck in windows folder Windows 10

Hi so i recently watched a video on youtube how to get more GB on my pc because i needed it, but when i tried to use it i just used my storage on the windows drive instead. Now i dont have any space in my computer because it turns out it was a hard drive and it took over 25 GB and when i tried to delete it, it didnt work.

If you could help me it would be great

    A virtual hard drive is just a file with a .vhd extension on some other real physical drive. You don't gain any space by creating one.

    Right click on the disk and select Detach VHD". Then using the explorer delete the .vhd file. If you put any files on it, copy them off before you detach/delete the drive.
