Intune Device Enrollment Question

Hi,

My knowledge with Intune is quite good, when joining a device into Intune as "Azure AD joined" via settings, accounts, school or work then connect then blue link at the bottom.

Once connected using the users email address and password it says all set and now switch account and login as that user/365 email address that was used to enroll the device, however and heres my question. I don't want to change user and login as on a new profile, this causes issues with setting everything up again with complex software settings and also HDD space.

Is there a way I can remain on the existing profile but still login with 365 UPN? Or can I just continue to login with the local account?

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you

Chris

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,==>Is there a way I can remain on the existing profile but still login with 365 UPN?
Per my experience, we can't acheive this goal. Because, Intune policy and apps are assigned to your AAD account rather than the local account. The apps will only install on your AAD user profile, we couldn't mix this user profile with the local user profile.

2,==>Or can I just continue to login with the local account?
For BYOD device, yes, you could continue use the local account. However, we can't see the organization apps deployed via Intune in this local account.

Hope I explain it clearly. If I have misunderstood anything, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
    Simon
