Hi,

I want to install Windows Feature packs from Microsoft Endpoint manager on a laptop. I have created a Profile that should install the Win10 21H2 on a laptop that already has win10 21H1
I know for sure the laptop can communicate with endpoint manager because when create Configuration profile it get applied to the laptop. I have created a profile for installing the feature pack as well, but it looks like that nothing is happening with the feature pack profile. I have even run the sync from the laptop and laptop get synced but the 21H2 is still not installed.

How can I monitor the the install of the feature pack?

Thanks

UPDATE:
I also create an update ring with these settings:

I can also see policy is applied to my test machine, but when restart the laptop still see the feature pack 21H1!!, any suggestion on why the 21H1 is not installed?

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Please check the reports for Windows 10 and later feature updates policy:
Select Devices > Monitor. Then under Software updates select Feature update failures report (Operational) or Windows 10 and later feature updates (Organizational) report to see if there is any error.

2,Please check if the prerequisites for Intune's Feature updates for Windows 10 and later are met, for example additional license besides Intune license. Refer to: Feature updates for Windows 10 and later policy in Intune

3,Please help check if the Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant (wlidsvc) service is able to run. If the service is blocked or set to Disabled, it fails to receive the update.

4,Do you configure the Rollout options in Windows 10 and later feature updates policy to Make update available as soon as possible? Or any other choice?

5,Please help check the WindowsUpdate.log on the client to see if there is any error for further troubleshooting.

    Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,
    Simon

@Simon Ren-MSFT Thank you for your reply, this morning I saw a message on the laptop that some updates have been installed on the laptop and after reboot the laptop I can see that 21H2 is installed. So it looks like that it just needed some times.
is it possible to run the installation of the updates or feature pack on-demand? Or that is not possible?

    Thanks
