Problem logging in to VLSC with work account

Question

Some time ago MS helped me set up a work account for logging in to VLSC
When I attempt to log in with it, it pops up a verify page asking me to use MS Authenticator
The text code option has the wrong phone number so cannot use it.
I cannot get into the account to change phone number.
When I run MS Authenticator on my phone it asks to enter account details.
I use the work account details.
It then asks me to verify using authenticator
As I am already using authenticator, how can I do this?
I can log in to VLSC using another ms account but get a message that this will be phased out soon and that I should log in with work account.
Going round in circles here. Help please.

The same problem occurs whenever I try to log in to the work account. Sends me to authenticator in which I cannot register the account without verifying with authenticator. Tried numerous ways to speak with a MS person on the phone. Keep getting directed back to online support.
