SharePoint server 2016 backups - Sharepoint VM snapshot and SQL DB backup

Hello,

I want to confirm if restoring SharePoint VM snapshot and SQL db backups is a good practice, currently we are taking SP vm snapshot and SP databases backup. While restoring system we will restore sql db backups and sharepoint vm snapshots or taking vm snapshots for all sharepoint and sql servers is recommended.

    Hi @Anil Rana ,

    Backing up the database is a good habit, and you could also create some snapshots, however I would suggest you pay attention to the frequency, too many snapshots may also cause data redundancy and memory problems. A good plan is also important.
