We have used Microsoft Web Browser Control ActiveX in our legacy application. Currently worried about Internet explorer end of support.
Can we continue to use Microsoft Web Browser Control?
We are currently facing issues after removal of IE and using Edge with IE mode.

Can we get over a call and discuss our queries related to IE, Edge with IE mode and Microsoft Web Browser Control with respect to our application?

    Hi @Prasanth Kalivarapu ,

Can we get over a call and discuss our queries related to IE, Edge with IE mode and Microsoft Web Browser Control with respect to our application?

The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired and go out of support on June 15, 2022, for certain versions of Windows 10. Please refer to this retirement FAQ for more details. So I think what we discussed after that is mainly about the issues in Edge IE mode rather than IE.

And as already mentioned, you can use Edge IE mode, IE mode supports all document and enterprise modes, Active X controls except Silverlight (Silverlight support has ended on October 12, 2021). IE mode will continue to be supported through at least 2029 and Microsoft will give one year notice before deprecating the IE mode experience in-market when the time comes.

    Best regards,
    Xudong Peng

Currently, you may use the Microsoft Edge IE Mode to run legacy websites and use ActiveX and it is recommended to consider switching to modern we applications which they don't need any extensions and this would be easier to the end user and developer because they could just visit the website with a comprehensive user experience.
