Azure Migrate - Failback after migration

Hi,
Microsoft now advise to use Azure Migrate to migrate VMs from VMware to Azure and not Azure Site Recovery. however assuming we use this I cannot see a way to failback if issues are found later on.
The Test Migration is to make sure everything functions however when the full migration happens, there does not seem to be a way to failback to OnPrem after this with no data loss.

One of the final steps of Azure Migrate is to "Stop Replication" however there is not a lick of information about what is replicating where after the Full migration has happened.

Any ideas?

Once you failover to Azure, your VM's will be in an unprotected state. If you want the option to fail back you need to re-enable site recovery replication going the other direction (Azure to VMWare) and make sure everything has replication. Once that is done you can failback using this process.

Azure Migrate is a one-way journey and does not have any Failback options. As suggested, customer should perform Test Migrations prior to performing the final cutover to Azure.

The Stop Replication is part of the Complete the Migration task and we have it documented here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/migrate/tutorial-migrate-vmware#complete-the-migration. Also, we do not perform any replication cycles once customer performs the Migration.

    Hope this clarifies!
