Hello,

I am working on building some analysis tools around Microsoft SQL Server audit logs. I was looking to understand why there is no classification of log levels. At the moment (as of SQL Server 2019) all the audit log entries are under event id 33205 and the level is set at "Informational" for all kinds of events. Are there plans for Microsoft to change this in the future ?

Thanks!

    Hi @skg ,

We can create a SQL server audit for database level or SQL server instance level.

For SQL audit log level, I haven’t heard. I also did not find any MS official document about this. If you have any suggestion or idea about SQL server, I recommend you to submit your suggestion to the Microsoft feedback at this link https://feedback.azure.com/d365community/forum/04fe6ee0-3b25-ec11-b6e6-000d3a4f0da0 . This site will serve as a connecting point between you and Microsoft, and ultimately the large community for you and Microsoft to interact with. Your feedback enables Microsoft to offer the best software and deliver superior services, meanwhile you can learn more about and contribute to the exciting projects on Microsoft feedback.
