Hi,

MEM 2010..

When I try to download the above Win 10 2H2 Feature update, the wizard reports a failure and pointing to SMS provider reporting an error.

The only errors I could find in the SMSProvider logs are as below.

IExtClassManager::ValidateAuthenticationLevel... SMS Provider 11/26/2021 12:16:13 PM 71036 (0x1157C)
Error setting property (TransformAnalysisDate) 0x80041002! SMS Provider 11/26/2021 12:16:14 PM 71036 (0x1157C)
Error setting property (TransformReadiness) 0x80041002! SMS Provider 11/26/2021 12:16:14 PM 71036 (0x1157C)
CExtUserContext::LeaveThread : Releasing IWbemContextPtr=-2018851360 SMS Provider 11/26/2021 12:16:14 PM 71036 (0x1157C)

I had tried to restart SMSProvider, Reboot SCCM Server but it doesn't change anything.

Surprising the content seems to download into the specified share directory and also gets distributed onto the specified Distribution Point. But the error is reported at the end as shown above.

I also looked up some technet articles where it is recommended to give 'SYSTEM' access to the content share where this download is happening. But we already have access set to 'Everyone' for this Content Share.

Any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank You.

    Hi, @SAMUEL VALAPARLA
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    This issue looks like a permissions issue.
    The computer account of the system hosting the SMS Provider role also needs read permissions (both share and NTFS of course) to that content location as well so that it can grab the source files and put them into the content library.
