What happens to the status of the virtual machine when a failure occurs on the Azure side?

Can you tell me the confirmation flow in case of a failure?

    Hi @金 泰弘

    Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q & A Platform .

    Speaking of your question , There are mainly 3 possibilities :

    153474-image.png

    So If the issue fall in the first category: The VM State Might transition as follows:

    Running --> Pause --> Running
    {You might experience a blip while connecting to the VM}
    or
    Running --> Pause --> Stop --> Running
    {You might experience a blip and/or restart while connecting to the VM}

    If the issue fall in the Second category: The VM State Might transition as follows:

    Running --> Pause --> Stop --> Running or Request Start
    {You might experience a restart/manual start request of the VM}

    If the issue fall in the Third category: The VM State Might transition as follows:

    Running --> Stop--> Running
    {You might experience a restart of the VM}

    More details about VM restarts/downtimes: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/understand-vm-reboots

    In either of the scenarios , You should be able to view the root cause analysis of the issue from the Resource Health Tab which helps you to classify the failure as one of above .

    Hope i was able to give you some clarity on the flow .

    Thanks & Regards,
    Pradeep
