hi team,

can you advise on how to migrate from sccm to intune? any roadmap to follow? i want to move it completely without any co management.
what would be the dependencies?
intune is able to update windows 10 but is it able to just push a master image to windows machines like sccm does?
or is it able to upgrade from windows 8 to windows 10 using intune as we were able to do with sccm?

To be clear here, Intune does not include any OS or disk imaging capabilities as the intended path to provisioning or reprovisioning a Windows endpoint is to use the OS that is already installed on the device and have the user walk through the OOBE process optionally using Autopilot (which is the preferred method) or to reset the existing Windows OS so that the device once again boots to OOBE. There are different levels of Windows reset that allow for preserving or not preserving user data as well as OEM customizations. Drivers and OS version are always maintained.

The above is applicable only to Windows 10 and 11 though. If the endpoint is not currently running either of these, then you must use an alternate solution to deploy an image to the device.

A lot more detail on Autopilot can be found at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/autopilot/windows-autopilot.
