Hi team,
As per this anouncement from MS (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/exchange-team-blog/basic-authentication-and-exchange-online-september-2021-update/ba-p/2772210 ) we should migrate the applications that are connecting to Exchange Online using basic authentication protocols to modern protocolos OAuth based, by example.
We have SMTP configured in our SQL Server 2019 with Database Mail Configuration Wizard that doesnt support any other protocol, se attachment.
Do you have any option ? Or should we replace this solution ?

What is the alternative for basic authentication in dbmail now? As my client is disabled the basic authentication in SMTP level of office 365, how to use dbmail ? Should I use domain service account? Currently SQL is running with local system account.

They cannot and are not disabling SMTP basic auth. This is used by everyone everywhere.
Today, we are announcing that, effective October 1, 2022, we will begin to permanently disable Basic Auth in all tenants, regardless of usage, with the exception of SMTP Auth.

SMTP AUTH will still be available when Basic authentication is permanently disabled on October 1, 2022. The reason SMTP will still be available is that many multi-function devices such as printers and scanners can’t be updated to use modern authentication.
