Hello Team,
OSD is initiated from a VM. It fails with "An Error Occurred While Retrieving Policy For This Computer (0x80004005). For more information, contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator."
SCCM Distribution Point is at Netherland and Management Point server is at West Virginia.
Updated the SCCM Distribution Point and Management Point server are with same time zone UTC-5 Eastern Time Zone.
But still client is not able to contact Management Point server.
Please help how this can be solved
Hello All,
This issue is solved by adding valid DNS IP Address.
Changing time zone should not make a difference. But your actual time might be wrong on VM, have you chacked that? Just type "time" in cmd when being in Winpe.
The error of 80072ee7 is the server name or address could not be resolved, it means the client could not get the correct IP from the DHCP server.
Please ensure all of the following components are on the same subnet or VLAN:
The DHCP server
The client computer
The ConfigMgr server that's running Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
The PXE-enabled Distribution Point (DP)
