I am trying to understand the difference in between EOP vs Defender for Office 365 security (P1 and P2) vs Defender endpoint.

I have read this document ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/overview?view=o365-worldwide) but it is not very clear for me.
What does in reality defender P1 compared with defender endpoint?
It seems EOP has included (a part zero-day) defender P1 or am I wrong?

Another question: What is the difference in between defender for O365 (cloud) and defender for endpoint?

    Hi there,

Defender is just an additional feature to EOP. Microsoft had just united all the security features under Defender.

Exchange Online Protection (EOP) is the core of security for Microsoft 365 subscriptions and helps keep malicious emails from reaching your inboxes.

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Plan 1 or Plan 2 contain additional features that give admins more layers of security, control, and investigation

    Hello,

    As their name implies :

    • Defender for Endpoint will be to protect your endpoint (Windows client/server, MacOS /iOS, Android & Linux) it's a kind of "next gen" anti-malware
    • Defender for Office 365 will help you protect your Exchange Online, SharePoint & Teams with policies for Anti-phishing, safe attachment, safe links and more
    • EOP is the basic protection you will have when you use Exchange Online it does not include policies for safe attachment, safe links and more

Defender for Office 365 P1 will give you access to some protection capabilities like the one mentioned before but will not include features like phishing campaign, etc...
This article can help you clarify a bit the differences between Defender for Office P1 and P2 :

This one will help understand the different products that exist under Defender :

    Hi @Marc

The core of Office 365 security is EOP protection. Microsoft Defender for Office 365 P1 contains EOP in it. Defender for Office 365 P2 contains P1 and EOP. The structure is cumulative. That's why, when configuring this product, you should start with EOP and work to Defender for Office 365.

For Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, it is is an enterprise endpoint security platform designed to help enterprise networks prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats.

Thank you for all your help.

Looking at the Policy & Rules (image attached) I couldn't find out items/voices directly related to:
    safe link
    safe attachment
Safe attachments for SharePoint , OneDrive etc...

Where can I find a DEFENDER related interface?
