Objective - copy activity to store Square Orders information in SQL database

I have created connection to our Square account using the square connector.

However no data is returned from source Square Orders table, only column headers. There is orders data in our square account.

I'm using my personal access token with unlimited scope access to Square.

Queries on other tables (square payments table) return data.

Any ideas on why no data is being returned from Square Source?

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for posting your query. From the above description my understanding is that you have access to Square Orders table and there is orders data in your Square account but when you try to query from ADF copy activity the data isn't returned expect the column headers.

This behavior is usually seen when we query on an empty table. But you confirmed that there is data in you Orders table.
Could you please double check if the data is actually present in the table by querying other options/clients other than ADF? Just wanted to confirm if this issue is only with ADF or with other clients too.

If you are able to query the table using other options but only seeing the behavior with ADF then it could be an issue related to driver too which needs a deeper investigation.

Before we take the support route could you please verify querying your Order table from other sources/clients and confirm if you are able to see the data?

Thank you for coming back on this.

Yes I can confirm that there is data in the underlying orders table. I am accessing it separately via the copy activity function in adf plus squares API explorer.

Thanks for getting back and confirming. This issue looks strange and needs a deeper investigation. Hence I would recommend you to file a support ticket for deeper analysis. Also do share the SR# with us once it is filed. In case if you don't have a support plan, please let us know here.
