adding school account to authenticator

Question

I have a school email on Microsoft. When i try to sign in it asks me to authenticate the sign in on the authenticator app, however when I try to add this account to my authenticator app it has me sign in which also requires authentication on the app which of course does not yet have my account added. So how do I add my account to authenticator without having to authenticate the sign in, which cannot be done until the account is added?

You may need to school's admins to reset on their end in order for you to access the QR scan code on desktop.
