Dear all, I have a windows server 2016 R2, i recently pulled and installed an update and after which, i can no longer login with the local account credentials. Also note that the server is not on the domain.
I have also tried resetting the admin account using the installation CD, on checking diskpart and list disk, the system does not identify the C: Drive nor any other internal drive except the D: drive which the external DVD drive.
Please, has any one encounter such a case and i will appreciate possible solution.

What is the KB number of the update? Have you tried to uninstall the update and confirm whether the issue will be resolved or not?
Thanks for @Anonymous 's useful solution first. Please try to follow DSPatrick's solution first if the issue haven't been resolved.

Sounds like you'll need to load a disk controller driver.
