Looking for reference manual on interop functions/methods for wor. I.e., find a bookmark, delete and replace a section or photo

I pretty much learned the interop methods for excel the hard way, looking at examples etc. That does not seem to work for word. Many if not all of the examples are missing key words, etc. and just don't work. I really am looking for a reference that lists the various methods/functions available for word and perhaps an example or two. It was much easier with the old forums, this new do it all Q&A has made it even harder to find anything. Not asking for help with the programming, just a pointer to where the information is.

Searching online for Word Interop cookbook, though, only got some references to a Python book. I doubt that there's any such collection. Searching Stack Overflow may be your best resource.

2021-12-06T18:29:02.647+00:00 Thanks, that helps, but my experience has been that intuitive conversion to VB.net from C# examples doesn't seem to work most times. I can eventually figure it out. Will play with it some and look around more. Meanwhile I will leave the question open so that others can make any suggestions, etc.

2021-12-07T19:25:56.347+00:00 Yes, I have been doing that, but the VBA code is not the same as what you can do standalone in a vb.net program built to search several different documents for similar occurrences of particular items. I have a document that gets weekly updates with a one- or two-page Acrobat chart created from an excel spread sheet. I am trying to automate the selection of the inserted object, delete it and then impost the current version. Just trying to assign a range to that imported object has proven to be an exercise in frustration. To start with, I can't even find a way to retrieve the range of the paragraphs prior to the object and following the object, let alone the range of the object. I wrote a VBA macro to do the job, but I don't want to have to install that type of macro in each document needing this type of update. Besides, it is now a matter of pride to find a way.
I do appreciate your suggestions and help! Now if I could just go back to IBM system 370 Assembler and VSAM I would be happy again. :-) From that comment you can get an idea of my age and frustration. GRIN

2021-12-07T19:29:01.14+00:00 I have not seen any toggle or other methods to display the language of choice. If I am in a VB forum then it is all VB.Net. The MS documents seem to bounce around with C# being the most prominent language and occasionally sample with VB.

2021-12-07T19:50:14.24+00:00 I know that VBA is not the same but sometimes its easier to find information in the VBA documentation about the Word Object Model. Then you can use that knowledge in writing VB.Net Interop code.
