I have a few Server 2008 R2s and I'd like to get Powershell 5.0. From what I've seen, it requires to upgrade to WMF 4.0 prior to going to WMF 5.0. However, I can't seem to find a download link for WMF 4.0.
MS seems to have pulled it. Is it just not possible on 2008 R2s to go to WMF 5.0?

The actual link is not found anymore. I was able to get the Alternate but it seems to not be legitimate when I tried yesterday. I also saw the post you mentioned regarding not being able to find any links for WMF 4. At this point, is it safe to say that I cannot get my 2008 R2s to use PoweShell v5?

That was my mistake. I tried installing this with my current WMF version 2.0. When I did, it threw off a "malicious" content error. However, I upgraded from 2.0 to 3.0 then to 4.0 using the link you provided. This works.
