"Basic" account holder cannot view or interact with Azure Pipelines.

We are having some issues adding users to Azure Pipelines. Specifically, I recently deleted an email address and want to add my current email address as a user. After adding my new email address to Azure as a "basic" account holder, I am refused access to our project. This is especially strange, since I can view the pipeline when I am not signed in:155772-image.png

But after signing in to the account on azure I am presented with this:

Do you have any idea what is going on here?
