InfoPath Containers: Repeating Section

I have an InfoPath form that I need to modify. The customer request that the first few controls maintain the information while able to add multiple information without submitting the form. I went to use the Repeating Section, but it is not available in the dropdown Controls Ribbon. However, when I open the InfoPath Designer to create a new form all the containers options are available. Why would several container controls be missing on this particular form but is available when you start creating a new form?

    Are you using a form based on a list?

    Per my research, this is a limit of list based forms. A list based form is flat, it is not possible to build hierarchical information sets with grouped and nested items, that's why the Repeating Section is missing.

    You could use Qrules tool or recreate a new form to meet your requirement, here I find two similar issue and methods provided in the articles:
