Failed to Add Update Source for WUAgent of type (2) and id Error = 0x80070008.

Hello,

Verified that Registry.pol is upto present date.

Please help hot to fix this issue.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Even the Registry.pol is the current date, you may also try to delete it and re-generate it.
The steps:

1. On the client computer, go to C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine.
2. Backup the Registry.pol file or delete it.
3. Restart the SMS agent host service.
4. Re-run the Software Updates Scan Cycle in the Configuration Manager Actions tab.

Did you try to delete the Registry.pol file and restart after the SMS Host Agent service (ccmexec)?
