Hi,
I screwed up the bios during booting process on my laptop, so the IT guy sent me this loaner while they could work on my old one. So my original Outlook email account was added on this loaner without sweat, business as usual. I understand that they are all in the CLOUD.
My problem is the following: after I return this loaner, IT can then turn it on and click on Outlook, and my mail is an OPEN BOOK. I don't like that at all.
Please, any advice, tell me how to do it properly: Removing my Outlook account added on this loaner without DELETING MY ENTIRE mail database stored in the CLOUD.
Thanks a Million.
K. C.

Hello @Maverick Chen
Your Outlook mailbox is stored either in the Cloud (with O365) or on Premise (with Exchange Server). By no meaning deleting your account information as username / password / from Outlook will delete your server information. Think about it like a USB flashdrive, you can go through it, create, open, delete, but when you disconnect it the information remains the same in the drive.
You can see a process here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/remove-or-delete-an-email-account-from-outlook-1fa900ae-6dc8-468c-b754-10292f7ee47a
Bear in mind that this does not apply for Local Archives downloaded locally to the machine (you would see this in your Outlook as a different mailbox folder like Archive - name@emaildomain
Hope this helps with your query,
