One of our Synapse spark notebooks sometimes works but othertimes "runs" for half hour+ and then fails with "A task was canceled" (no details on where/what/how), how do we figure out what is causing it? Other executions of same notebook with different input data don't seem to be having an issue, just (oddly) the simplest of the inputs (that is, single source file writing to delta whereas some of the others that work fine merge a series of source files to delta)

Thanks for posting your query. I agree that the error information provided wasn't helpful for self troubleshooting. It is really hard to predict what could be the root cause for this issue. I would recommend you to file a support ticket so that a support engineer can take a deeper look into the logs and identify the root cause. Doing this also will help product team to improve the error message. Please do share the SR# once it is filed. Incase if you don't have a support plan, please let us know here so that we can work with you offline.
