Azure Media services v3 - Generate a JWT token in php for streaming

Hi,

The asset, transform, job, ..., are generated in an Azure Function in C# and works correctly.

I get the url of the streaming in php, but I need to generate a bearer token in php for building a securized streaming url.

I see that this token is a JWT token, I see that the windowsazur library for php allows to do it, but this library is retired.

I use the Azure Media Services v3 and the rest API libraries. I don't see how generate this token in php.

While I check on this internally, could you please describe more details on your requirement? Are you referring to this 'Azure doc Develop Azure Functions with Media Services v3' for the steps?

See, How and where do I get a JWT token before using it to request a license or key.

-It is not recommend that you try to wrap the REST API for Media Services directly into your own library code.
The client SDKs for various languages handle this for you automatically, to reduce the chances of problems with retry logic or failed API calls.

The page https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-php informs that

As of February 2021, the Azure SDK for PHP has entered a retirement phase and is no longer officially supported by Microsoft. This repository will no longer be maintained
If you prefer to work in PHP, you can directly call the Azure REST API in PHP

The Azure storage API will be set in a separate repository, but nothing for the Azure media services v3 API ==> I use the rest api...

At this time, you may checkout Media Services v3 available samples for other languages/for some pointers.

On your question about how to write a JWT token in PHP (/not directly related to AMS). That probably mostly involves reading RFC 7519 and writing some code in PHP.
Since Azure SDK for PHP is not officially supported - If feasible, you may consider to move to the supported language for Azure SDK or/ also, you may post your question on SO, to receive insights from PHP community.

At this time, you may checkout Media Services v3 available samples for other languages/for some pointers.

Architects have decided to develop a part in PHP and the azure function in C#.
I can not change this decision.
