OneDrive macOS client last release does not connect to SharePoint Server 2019 on premises after last update

Hello,

after receiving the last update to Office for macOS, it is no longer possible to connect new OneDrive clients to SharePoint 2019 Server.

Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Configure the com.microsoft.OneDrive.plist to support SharePointOnPremFrontDoorUrl and SharePointOnPremPrioritizationPolicy (image attached)
  2. Run OneDrive client for macOS
  3. Type the username (es.: YOURDOMAIN\username)
  4. Click on the button to proceed
  5. A window requiring you to enter the password will appear
  6. Type the password
  7. Click the access button
  8. The rotating dots will appear, suggesting you have to wait
  9. The client never tries to reach the SharePoint server and will remain stuck there forever
  10. Plus: if you click the back link (on the bottom left) and then you click continue, the client will crash

I restored an older version of OneDrive client app from a Time Machine backup of early November, and IT WORKS.
The older release DOES NOT have the same issue and it DOES connect to the same SharePoint server.

Does anyone have any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

just to keep you updated, the issue has been fixed with Jan 7th OneDrive update to version 21.250.1205.0002 for mac.

After installing that update, it will connect again.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Claudio
