Some Database Email Does Not Go Through

We have database mail setup to email status reports. However, some of the status reports do not get sent, and we don't know why. We don't even see them leave the server and hit exchange.

It happens to random emails throughout the week. It started a week ago.

We don't see any error, we just don't see the status emails come through.

This is an intermittent issue where we don't receive emails sent from SQL dbmail. From SQL end the failure is due to Mail Server

We want to know what is causing the issue

This is an intermittent issue where we don't receive emails sent from SQL dbmail.

So by "the status reports"mentioned earlier, you are referring to the "emails sent from SQL dbmail", right? If this is the case, how about other emails which are not sent from SQL, can they be sent and received as expected?
