Are Barcodes generated for Sharepoint Online List Items Unique?

Question

If I were to create two Sharepoint lists(List A and List B), each of which with barcode generation set up in the information management policy of said list, is there a possibility of a barcode value in List A being identical to a barcode value in List B?

Or

Is it that all barcode values generated, using the information management policy of a given list, are unique for the entire site?

1.Barcode value in the list A being identical to barcode value in the list B is not available.
2.The barcode of each item is unique.
