Issue with distribution group

After creating a distribution group in Active Directory, the sync'd object into Microsoft 365 is not working as a distribution group, it's acting like a user account.
None in the group receives E-mail. Looks like exchange issue,
created the DL through Active directory. DL is set to global & distribution

    It is an expected behavior, the group you created is an AD group (used to manage permission in batch) rather than Exchange email group. It doesn't exist mail attributes.

    You need to create distribution group from Exchange on-premises, then synchronize to Azure AD and Exchange online.
