How do I manage permissions for participants on a MacBook desktop app?

When I start a meet and click the three dots next to participants, I do not have "manage permissions" as I get on the web version or on a PC. It seems when I enabled the "new experience" in settings, this important feature disappeared. Will this be addressed in a future update?
