Hi Community

Just wondering if I'm completely off-the-mark here and someone can provide insights from experience.

While configuring Azure Firewall Network rule for Office 365 IP Address ranges as suggested here--> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/urls-and-ip-address-ranges?view=o365-worldwide , I see the below error message when entering any IP address of this form:

  • 2603:1006::/40
  • 2603:1016::/36

Can someone point me what's wrong here?

Thanks
Taranjeet Singh

    @Taranjeet Malik Thank you for your pateince while I was looking into this issue. Upon further investigation, Azure Firewall doe snot support IPv6 at the moment which is why you see this error. You can refer to this in the Known Issues section of Azure Firewall which says:

    "If you add an IPv6 address to a rule, the firewall fails. Use only IPv4 addresses. IPv6 support is under investigation." Hope this helps.

    Please let us know if you have any further questions and we will be glad to assist you further. Thank you!
