Windows 11 blank desktop and taskbar after display turns back on

Hi, I have a problem on Windows 11, when I come back to my PC after the display has turned off and wake it up, sometimes the desktop and taskbar are blank, all the applications are still running and working normally and I can CTRL-ALT-DEL, log out and log back in again and everything is working again (although obviously this requires closing all my applications).

It looks like important part of windows desktop is crashing. I expect this is caused by some application or service that I've installed but I'm not that keen to dig through and work out what so I was wondering if anyone knew which service might be crashing to cause this so that I can just try re-running it, the problem is infrequent enough that I'd be happy with that solution rather than a long trouble shooting session or re-install.

Ash.

    Hi @Ash Bennett

This seems to be a typical driver issue that has caused the screen blanking out problem.Try updating all your drivers and BIOS and see if that sorts the Issue. If the Taskbar does not appear after sleep, you can try restarting the File Explorer process on Windows 11.

-Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc on your keyboard to quickly launch the Task Manager.
-In the Task Manager window, click on the More details option to expand it.
-In the Process tab, scroll down to find Windows Explorer. Select it and then hit the Restart button at the bottom.

If the above methods are not helpful you can try refreshing the PC and raise this via the feedback hub.
The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run into while using Windows 11.

    Hope this resolves your Query!!

Try run the Windows Update and download and install all updates.
Try update your graphic card driver.
Open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue.
