I agreed to upgrade to windows 11 but I want to cancel it now.

From Windows updates, I cannot cancel my previous agreement to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I changed my mind and I want to stick to Windows 10 for now because I am abroad, and I cannot install necessary software packages here. Currently, I put off the upgrade until January 23 of 2022.

The problem is, for this delay, I cannot update other usual Windows updates.

Also, January 23 of 2022 is the latest day, after which upgrade to Windows 11 will start.

How can I cancel my agreement to update to Windows 11?

    Hello @Cheol-Hwan Park

Microsoft is not forcing any Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11. The workaround around this time to Block the Windows 11 Update is using Registry Editor.

In the Run box, type the following and press Enter.
    regedit

When the Registry Editor opens, from the sidebar to the left, navigate to the following directory:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

Here you can edit the registry as per the above article and stop the update. You can keep following this thread so that you can get updated if there are any new methods to stop the update.

    Hope this resolves your Query!!

Please make a free backup image with third party software:

    Acronis
    Aoemi
    EaseUS
    Macrium
    Paragon
    etc.

Once you have free backup images saved to another disk drive or the cloud or both you can restore an image.

Whether it is an unwanted Windows upgrade, malware, ransomware, corruption of the operating system, registry, component store, drive file system, or even disk drive failure you've got the ability to restore images onto a disk drive.

These are trial and error steps:

A system restore may be able to prevent the planned Windows upgrade to Windows 11:

In addition an in place upgrade repair to Windows 10 may be able to prevent the planned Windows 11 upgrade:
