SBS 2011 RWA Certificte expired

I know SBS 2011 Essentials is out of support, but I have a client who still relies on it for their business and they have a problem with Remote Web Access. On Dec 16th, the certificate for "mycompany.remotewebaccess.com" expired so they can no longer log in from home offices. I've tried the "repair" option from the RWA Wizard... it goes thru a lot of steps but eventually comes to a screen with 2 errors: one that says the certificate has expired (we already knew that), and the other says " An error occurred when linking your domain name to the IP address for your server. Please try again later. If this problem continues contact your domain name service provider for support".

I thought we could buy a certificate from a CA and create our own, but the certificate is needed for "mycompany.remotewebaccess.com". When I use that as the "Common Name" in the CSR, the Certificate Authority (GoDaddy) errors out saying that is an invalid Top Level Domain. It appears this certificate has to be renewed thru Microsoft.

We really need to get this certificate renewed since due to COVID several of their employees are working from home.

Please help....

    Hi @Arlan Leeds

Please follow the instructions from the Answer in the next thread, that should help you resolved your issue: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/423393/anywhere-access-certificate-will-expire-soon-i-can.html

Extract "Once there, look for "The attached TXT file needs" RIght-click on the word "TXT" and open it in a new tab. Copy the Regedit code. Go to your server and Export the contents of Regedit to a file to back it up. Take the copied code and paste it into a .txt file and save it. Rename the file to your_name.reg and execute it. You will get confirmation it was added. Reboot the server. Once it's up start up the Dashboard and go to Anywhere Access. I tried the "Repair" option and it fixed a few errors, but not the certificate. Then go to Setup and pick "Use another Domain Name", then "I want to use a domain name I alread own". Enter your existing Domain Name. You will have to enter your credentials, let it run and it's fixed!"

Hope this helps with your query,
