Hi All, We wanted to use MS-Teams for video conferencing however, the video quality is very poor we confirmed the issue is not related to camera quality or bandwidth because we tested it with phones with good quality camera having a 30 Mbps bandwidth dedicated only for this call. Can anyone help please? It’s very urgent. You can see the video quality in the snap shoot below.17856-capture.jpg

    Hi,

Microsoft has reduced their bandwidth and quality settings to 720p or less in some cases with the surge of usage due to the covid-19 pandemic which has led to a high peak of Microsoft Teams usage worldwide. Until they upgrade to meet demand or people go back to normal life we won't be able to really get solid video through the service for some while.

    Hi MichaelMekonnen-0407,

Does this issue have impact on all users in your organization?

What kind of network do you use? VPN, WiFi or Ethernet?

It recommends you check if the ports UDP 3478 – 3481 are opened on firewall. Then, optimize your network by referring to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/prepare-network#network-optimization.

If no luck, go to Microsoft 365 admin center > Health > Service health > Microsoft Teams to check if Teams shows any exception status.
