I am unable to add a team to my Teams account

I have just started a small consulting business from my home and have purchased Microsoft Teams for business use. I do not seem to have an option to start a new team.

Do you mean you cannot create a Teams in your Teams client.

The picture you uploaded cannot be seen, Could you try to upload it again?

On the left side of Teams, click Teams, at the bottom of the teams list, click Join or create a team, and then click Create a new team.

If you cannot find it, please check if you could create it in Teams web client.

In addition, your company may have set a policy restricting who can create Office 365 groups or teams. So please check with your IT admin to understand your company's policy for creating groups and teams.
