How to import a custom keyboard layout created with Microsoft Keyboard Creator in Windows 11
I teach a foreign language to speakers of English using a Computer Assisted Instructional program. To simplify the student's inputting of responses in the foreign language characters we developed an alternate keyboard layout with MS Keyboard Creator that maps the foreign alphabet characters to Roman characters.
I've been unable to figure out how to add this layout to the keyboards on my workstation. Normally I could configure Windows 10 to utilize a .klc file for this purpose, but I can't figure out how this would be done in Windows 11.

2022-04-20T21:14:17.843+00:00 I feel your pain, I am multilingual and while my PC is in English, I was only able to find a replacement USB keyboard in Spanish and everything was messed up until I found MKLC and created a new layout that matches 100% my Spanish keyboard. Now I can type in any language I choose like English, Spanish or German.
If you use MKLC you have to compile your layout and run the resulting setup.exe to install the DLL containing your enhanced keyboard layout. You can read my original post (link below) and MY own answer a day later (not the other person's suggestion that was too complicated). I detailed in step by step and that should get you all setup.
I think you are missing the compilation and installation part.
