Windows 11 - installed, reverted to Win 10 - now keeps wanting to update again to Win 11

This is completely unacceptable - I installed Windows 11 - didn't like it, so reverted back to Win 10. Now it still keeps bugging me to install Win 11 again, has downloaded and is forcing me to go to Win 11 at the next restart! I don't want this, I've already gone back to Win 10 why is MS forcing the update to Win 11 again??

The installation is optional and it won't force install unless you click to download and install it.
In case it force installing, try open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

I can understand that Windows 11 still tries to upgrade even if you have reverted to Windows 10.
This is can be happened due to update cache. I would suggest you to please follow below method to resolve the issue.

    1. Run Disk Cleanup from Select C:\ Drive from Properties- > General -> Disk Cleanup - >Cleanup system files - > Chose cleanup older Windows
    2. Rename C:\Windows.old to C:\Windows.old.bkp
    3. Cleanup below Temp folders
      C:\Windows\Temp
      %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp
    4. Run sfc /scannow
    5. Run below DISM command from elevated prompt.

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Hope this answers your question :)

I am experiencing the same issue as the original poster. I have reverted back to Win 10. However, Windows updates tries to install Win 11 each time I look for updates. Therefore, I am not receiving Win 10 updates listed anymore. I have paused the updates until a solution is found. This needs to be addressed ASAP.
