Hey,

My goal is to connect my bluetooth headphones' hands free mode to my laptop.

I've recently made a purchase for new bluetooth headphones (PXC 550-II) with a mic in it. Using the mic on a phone is easy to do but using it on my laptop (Inspiron 14 7000 on windows 10) is difficult. I know that I've already connected to my computer in the past to hands free mode because the devices even shows up in device manager...

Here's what I've tried doing:

  • Connecting my set normally to bluetooth (bluetooth is on), it says connected music to my headphones
  • Going to my sound settings and tried to add the hands free mode as the input device for my computer (tried also in obs and discord, does not recognize the hands free mode)

  • Checking if all of my bluetooth drivers are up to date in device manager
  • Removing the device entirely and tried to reconnect

Please help me, I've scoured the internet for every solution possible to no avail, is the problem my headphones, should I do a factory reset of it? Do I have to update to windows 11?
Any help would be terrific thanks!

Peace,
V
