I am currentIy using a Lenovo L570 with "Windows 10 21H2". As recommended under "update and security" I have used the Windows App ("PC Integritätsprüfung") to find out if my PC is ready for windows 11. The result states that the CPU is not fit for windows 11. The CPU is a "Intel Core i5 7200U". This CPU is listed on windows´ list of CPU that meet the requirements for windows 11.
Why can´t I update on to windows 11?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, i5-7200U processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.

Please check with official Windows 11 list of supported processors:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

You can drop a feedback to Microsoft about this, using Feedback hub app.

    Regards.

    Hello SAFisher-1365,
thanks very much for your comment. You are right - the link I posted indeed refers to the win-10-processors (I should have read the list´s headline more carefully ... though I was guided to that list, when asking for the win-11-list). So, unfortunately our "Intel Core i5-7200U" is not fit for Win 11.
    Regards

Windows 11 can be installed on most computers in a supported or unsupported fashion.

The compatibility checker is used during upgrades.

There is no compatibility checker during clean installs.

For the upgrades the registry and / or files can be modified so that the compatibility checker does not detect the parameters.

Multiple websites have reported the successful upgrades of Windows 10 to 11 including desktops, laptops, and tablets.
