Hi

In haste I removed the "TYPE" column from my SharePoint library. This is the column that shows the little picture to the left of the file name and NOT the addable column "FILE TYPE" . Ive checked my other libraries I can see "TYPE" in the SHOW/HIDE column list but now I have removed the "TYPE" column from this library I cant see a way of getting it back.

Any help appreciated161916-type.jpg

    Hi @Richard Hastings
Have you checked this column in Library settings > Views > All documents:

Actually, if we hide the column, we will not find the column from show/hide columns:

So, I would suggest you to check it from Library settings > Views > All documents.

OK - exactly this hapened for me as well - changing it for all collegues and so on too of course :)

AND as unchecking Type it disappears - for real from the Show/hide columns settings. as unchecking IT CHANGES TO 'DocIcon' - see picture

This must be a bug because Checking DocIcon Makes it again be calle Type! see next picture - really confusing ;)
