Converting WPF application to MAUI

We have information that Xamarin.Forms applications can be upgraded to MAUI. But in addition to that can we convert WPF applications also to .NET MAUI? Asking this because we want to make our WPF application to make cross platform. And if its possible to migrate from WPF to MAUI, is there is any tool for doing the same? If migration is possible and if tool is not available right now, are there any plans in future to make the tool available?

MAUI is currently in Preview and is not yet supported on Microsoft Q&A. Please ask any MAUI questions or provide feedback on the MAUI github repository at https://github.com/dotnet/maui .

There isn't a direct migration from WPF to MAUI. Your business logic will likely work portably, but the UI will need some tweaking. WPF and MAUI use different XAML libraries.

The concepts in the Xamarin porting guide will all still apply for MAUI.

Thanks a lot for the information. If possible, could you please suggest on the below as well?

In the process of migrating to MAUI, as our application is very big, we are thinking to use MAUI views and etc. in the existing WPF application. So that means, combining the WPF and MAUI in the application. So that slowly at a point of time, the entire application can be migrated to MAUI. Is this possible? I mean the compatibility of MAUI with WPF is possible here?

You may be able to do that with Xaml Islands. It's not something I've tried (yet! Interesting scenario!)

I am in the exact same situation and would like to perform the exact same process as @Lakshminarayana

It's only been a few months but have you found a best way to go about this? Or have you began your migration?
